Omron HR-100C Heart Rate Monitor

41V0DHS2VDL._SL160_I have chosen walking as a form of exercise but do not know whether I reach the required heart rate always. It consists of a monitor with a watch which displays the time as well as well as heart rate and is connected to a gizmo which has to be strapped just under the chest. It is about a 12″ long piece of plastic with an elastic strap which is adjustable. It is not bulky and hence, not easily detected.

The stopwatch and alarm in the monitor keep you aware of when you are out of range of the minimum and maximum heart rates set by you. The beep on the alarm can be easily heard. You will always know when you need to pick up a bit of pace since your heart rate is updated every second or two.

Unlike some expensive monitors which are to be sent to the factory for a battery change, you can change it yourself because of the removable backup in the chest strap.

The elastic strap can be removed easily and changed easily when dirty. The small zippered carrying case in which the monitor is packaged, includes an attachment which can be placed on a bicycle handle bar.

I highly recommend this device for those who have just started exercising.
